We’ve got a range of answers to questions we think you need to know, designed to provide you with a bit of insight and guidance before you pick up the phone.
What type of businesses do you serve?
We serve a wide range of businesses, both in terms of size and industry. The range of clients covers sole traders, partnerships, not-for-profit organisations and limited companies and groups. We also act on behalf of numerous high net worth individuals and families. Whatever your business we look forward to the opportunity to work with you to help your business to expand.
What type of services do you provide?
Our core services are accounting, auditing and taxation services. A full list of our services is included in our firm’s information pack and can also be accessed from our website.
Which geographical areas do you cover?
We are a London based firm and are able to provide services throughout the United Kingdom and if necessary internationally. We have access to a network of firms internationally, which enables us to work through a local firm in the country where services are required.
Will I be charged for an initial meeting or quote?
There is no charge for an initial meeting or quote. At an initial meeting the scope of the work can be considered and an appropriate fee structure can be agreed. We always ensure that the fee structure is mutually acceptable to you as a client and us as a firm.
How much would it cost me each year for you to look after my accounts and tax?
The cost of the accounts and tax work will depend on the amount of time spent on your affairs and on the levels of skill or responsibility involved. We will agree our fee structure with you before the work is undertaken.
What if there is additional work to be undertaken?
Again the fees will depend on the amount of time involved. Where possible, we would agree a basis of charging for the additional work with you prior to the commencement of the additional work.
What do I need to do to change from my current accountant to Ferguson Maidment?
You just have to inform your current accountant that you have decided to appoint us as your accountant and we will take care of the rest in terms of obtaining professional clearance and transferring of your books, records and other financial information from your previous accountant to us.
